Trade a trinket, leave a wish at the shrine, get your cards read, buy a workshop seat, or find a chair and watch the whole thing happen around you. Nobody will ask you to explain yourself, and nothing here even requires you to be perceived unless you want to.
There's a costume parade and a crow call at 5:15pm. You are extremely invited and completely off the hook.
Free activities all day long
The Crow Shrine
Crows take shiny things, and crows bring shiny things back. Leave an offering, or write down what you'd like returned to you and leave that instead. Tended all day by Weavers of the Web.
The Shiny Swap
Bring a trinket, take a trinket. It's amazing how sharing the hoard makes the hoard grow!
The Family Craft Table
Crow masks and charm keychains. Materials stay out all day. Mask-making runs 3:15-4:30 so there's a fresh flock for the parade.
The Scavenger Hunt
Shinies go into hiding the night before. Clues get released at 12:30. Find them, finish your card, and enter to win a store gift card.
Two acres, no driveway.
Weavers of the Web owns two acres inside Lansing. No address, only a shed so far. Not even a curb cut; the parcel has a plot number and that's it. To mow our own grass, we park in a neighboring church's lot and walk in.
125' of driveway costs $25,000, and it is the first thing we need before anything else can happen. After that, we can drive onto our own land and start working out what goes on it.
The Bracelet Bar will be in the lobby for all 8 hours of the Crow Party, along with the Shiny Swap Table and the family crafting. $5 basic, $10 with a charm, $15 deluxe (and you're welcome to go over that). That table has its own register, and the money goes straight into the Weavers account; Keys never touches it.
This is the quiet opening of a bigger push coming this fall. Buying a bracelet is not required to be here, but if you'd like to help get us a little farther along the path...

Three readings rooms run from noon straight through to 8:00. Thirty minutes, one on one, $45.
Sessions are bookable every 45 minutes; that way your reader gets a breather and comes fresh to your reading.

Want one piece instead of a whole pass?
Each workshop and seance sells individually. Readings book separately, thirty minutes at a time, all day until 8.
Wear the thing.
Feathers, a beak, full corvid drag, a black t-shirt and some eyeliner, or the outfit you slept in (if you must!). The parade at 5:15 is for anyone who wants to join in, kids and adults in one loud photogenic mob, and there's a store gift card for whoever the crowd screams loudest for.
Costumes are encouraged (and required by nobody).
Here is what you can expect to walk into:
No. Entry is free, the shrine and swap table and craft table and scavenger hunt are free, story time is free, and the parade is free. You can spend eight hours here and zero dollars, and no one will treat you differently for it.
Also no. There's no circle to join, no mandatory sharing, no sign-up sheet at the door. Trade a shiny and leave. Or stay all day and talk to nobody.
Kids are welcome all day, although we ask that their grown-ups come with them. Staffed story-time and mask-making will happen from 3:30-5:00pm for parents who would like to attend the Tarot workshop, and kids are welcome to join in the Crow Call parade and costume contest at 5:15pm.
Not one of them. Crow and raven feathers are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, so every black feather in the fascinator kits, the decor, and the craft table is faux or dyed non-protected species. No exceptions.
Money for the bracelet bar goes directly to Weavers of the Web's Temple Fund for paving the driveway to our future shared home.
There's a consent sign at the door and red wristbands for anyone who'd rather not be filmed or photographed (and we WILL enforce the consent rule and immediately eject and ban anybody found to be violating it, no exceptions).
What the building is like:
The store is on ground level. There are no stairs and no elevator.
Parking is in the lot directly around the building. If you come straight up the front walk, there is no curb.
The front doors pull open and are not automatic. Inside, the doorways have low metal thresholds (a lip rather than a step). The floor is commercially carpeted from the lobby into the library classroom; the retail floor is wood.
Our classroom is in our library, which doubles as the meeting place for Weavers of the Web's community nights. There are rainbow curtains, moon goddess banners, a wall of books you are welcome to browse, tables, a whiteboard, overhead fluorescent lights, and enough open floor to reach a table with a walker or wheelchair without requiring everyone in the room to rearrange around you. (Unless it fills up, in which case we'll come part the waters for you.)
We have an eclectic mixture of rolling executive chairs with arms, upholstered office chairs, folding chairs and stacking bucket chairs, even a couple of wingbacks and bar stools.
Take the chair that works for your body.
Or the not-chair; there's open floor space, too, and yoga balls and floor cushions. Or bring your own seat. Make yourself comfortable, please.
There is one single-occupancy non-gendered restroom.
It has grab bars beside the toilet and along the wall. The sink is wall-mounted with open space beneath it, allowing a wheelchair to roll underneath. The floor is tile, with no rugs to trip over.
A separate sensory-friendly room is available throughout the day.
It has low lighting, a futon, pillows, blankets, exercise balls, and a rug. It is much quieter and darker than the store or the library.
You do not need permission to use it.
Get up and go. Stay for five minutes or the rest of the day (you DO have to leave when I lock the doors). Come back, or don't. Everybody else will keep going, nobody will follow you, and nobody will demand an explanation afterward. (We might ask if you're okay.)
The sensory room exists so that needing it doesn't cost you the party.
Incense made from herbs, woods, and natural resins ordinarily burns in the shop and church space. We do not use synthetic fragrances.
Still and sparkling water are available from Weavers' refrigerator. Help yourself. Hydrate or die straight! (j/k, you're welcome to die straight if you want)
The parking lot is lit at night. If you would rather not walk to your car alone after dark, I (or somebody more physically imposing is usually available) will walk out with you. Just ask.
A'Kos is Kender's retired autism service dog from 4 Paws for Ability. Once upon a time, he was the key to helping Kender have more independence. Now, he's doing everybody's favorite retirement job: Store Greeter.
He's in the building regularly (though not EVERY day), usually stationed wherever he predicts the belly rubs will be most plentiful.
