Black Tourmaline, Sodalite & Phosphosiderite Stretch Bracelet — One of a Kind

Black most of the way around, with the color gathered into one weighted cluster: three mottled blue sodalite beads flanked by purple, plus two more purple beads set alone further up the strand like an afterthought. Soul Seed Creations hand-strung this.

What you get

One stretch bracelet on elastic cord, no clasp, slips over the wrist. Approximately 8mm rounds with black tourmaline forming the body, sodalite, and phosphosiderite beads. Handmade in Michigan. Arrives ready to wear.

About the stones

Black tourmaline, properly called schorl, is a boron silicate that grows in long striated prisms. Those lengthwise grooves are its signature and you can often still catch them on a polished bead under raking light, which is the reliable way to tell it from black obsidian or dyed black agate. Schorl is pyroelectric and piezoelectric, developing an electrical charge under heat or pressure.

Sodalite is a chloric sodium aluminum silicate, named for its sodium content, and the blue is intergrown with white calcite, which is why every bead has that cloudy mottled pattern rather than an even color.

Phosphosiderite is a hydrated iron phosphate, uncommon in jewelry and usually appearing as a soft lilac-to-rose purple with pale grey or white veining running through it. It's a relatively soft stone, so treat the purple beads as the most vulnerable part of this bracelet and store it away from harder pieces.

Correspondences

Black tourmaline — sacral chakra, and it activates grounding between the root and the center of the earth. Capricorn. Vibrates to 3 and 4. It protects you specifically from being victimized by the energy of another person. It shields empaths, diminishes fear, cleanses the aura, and breaks up blockages and overwhelming energy. It identifies who or what is causing trouble. Can also help people get along in circle. Do not put this inside your body. No elixirs, no ingestion. Please don't lick the magick.

Sodalite — throat and third eye. Sagittarius. Wind. Vibrates to 4.

It eliminates confusion and lets you reach logical conclusions through rational process, equalizing and stimulating the intellect to match whatever situation you're in. It supports unemotional efficiency and direction of purpose carried with a light heart. It enhances truthfulness in emotion, meaning it helps you recognize what you actually feel and then say it out loud.

It is a stone of the deep journey, providing dispassionate assessment of your own motivations, strengths, weaknesses and patterns, and reinforcing witness consciousness during meditation or shamanic journeying so you can actually remember what you saw. It brings a stubborn kind of courage that makes it likelier you'll hold on through the painful stretches of the path.

Sodalite is an ally for astrologers, numerologists, tarot readers and anyone consulting the I Ching or other oracles, because it helps translate archetypal patterns into meaning that applies to mundane life. It also helps intuitive readers assess the energy of a client. And it opens psychic perception while preventing you from getting egoic about it.

It is an excellent stone for groups, supporting fellowship, solidarity and shared purpose, and encouraging self-trust and trust in others. It feels like a cozy chair, never dramatic, and would suit social situations that wind a person up.

Tourmaline handles what's coming at you and sodalite handles what you're perceiving, which makes this a reader's bracelet more than a protection bracelet.

Who this is for

Tarot readers, astrologers, rune workers and anyone who reads for other people. Journeying and trance practice. Writers, students, teachers and researchers. Empaths and anyone who absorbs a room. Group ritual with friction in it. Social situations that wind you tight. A gift for a practitioner who reads professionally and needs something they can wear at a table without it becoming a conversation.

Wipe it clean rather than soaking it, store it away from harder stones so the purple beads don't scuff, keep it out of long direct sun, and roll it on rather than yanking it over your knuckles.
