About the stones
Tiger's eye is a pseudomorph, which is the mineral world's term for one substance replacing another and inheriting its shape. Quartz took over crocidolite fiber by fiber and kept the fibrous alignment intact. Light striking those parallel twisted fibers reflects back as one rolling band rather than scattering, and because the fibers are crumpled rather than straight, the band shimmers instead of drawing a single clean line. That effect is chatoyancy, the same thing that makes a cat's eye. The material occurs naturally in red, brown, gold, cream, black and blue.
The rose-gold beads are hematite with an electroplated finish. Hematite itself is iron oxide, and untreated it comes in a duller steel grey with a metallic luster.
