Hand-poured by Sallie Thrush of Soul Seed Creations, a mid-Michigan artist working in layered resin. Deep violet edges open into cobalt, then aqua, then a pale center where the copper catches whatever light is in the room.
At 4.25 inches across it sits low and wide, which makes it a surface piece more than a container. The dish where the rings land at the end of a long day. The one that holds the earrings, the hair pins, the small stone you carry in your pocket and set down at night. On an altar it takes salt, dried offerings, a coin, a bit of bread. On a desk it holds paperclips and looks far too good doing it.
Care: this is cured resin, so keep it away from heat and open flame. No lit charcoal, no candle set directly in the bowl, no dishwasher, and nothing you intend to eat. Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Keep it out of hard afternoon sun and the color holds for years.
