Rich Witch is a resin-forward loose incense, blended by hand in small batches at Keys to Manifestation for money work, business blessings, and any ritual where you’re asking for more and planning to earn it. Frankincense and benzoin make up about two-thirds of the blend. That keeps the smoke sweet and steady on charcoal. Cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and basil come in smaller measure. They give the blend its warm spice without the scorched-leaf smell that herb-heavy incense throws off.
Rich Witch was made as the companion to our Rich Witch spell candle, and it does its job just as well on its own.
What you get
- 20 g (0.7 oz) of loose incense in a jar
- Ingredients: frankincense, benzoin, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, basil
- Labeled with Fehu, the rune of wealth
- For use on charcoal; charcoal discs and a heatproof dish are sold separately
How to burn it
Light a charcoal disc in a heatproof dish or censer with a layer of sand or ash under it, and wait until the disc is fully lit and glowing. Sprinkle a small pinch of Rich Witch on top. The resins will melt and smoke first, with the spices following. Add another pinch when the smoke thins. Start small, because a little goes a long way. Burn it in a ventilated space, never leave it unattended, and keep it away from kids and pets.
About the blend
Frankincense is the hardened sap of Boswellia trees, gathered by cutting the bark and letting the resin weep and dry. Benzoin is a resin from Styrax trees, with a soft, vanilla-like sweetness that rounds off frankincense’s brighter edge. Resins melt cleanly on charcoal, so a resin-heavy blend gives fuller, longer-lasting smoke than a blend built mostly from dried leaves. Resins and spices vary by harvest, so the color and grain of your jar may differ a little from batch to batch and from the photo.
Correspondences
The herbs in Rich Witch split between two planets. Frankincense, cinnamon and benzoin belong to the Sun: success, visibility, and the kind of confidence that gets you noticed. Clove and nutmeg belong to Jupiter, the planet of expansion, generosity and good fortune. Basil, ruled by Mars, adds drive and is a traditional money herb in its own right. Cinnamon also carries a reputation as a focus herb. It sharpens the mind as much as it draws money, which makes it useful when the prosperity you’re after depends on follow-through.
Taken together, the blend favors prosperity that grows from effort and being seen, more than windfalls out of nowhere.
Fehu, the first rune of the Elder Futhark, originally meant cattle: wealth that moves, multiplies, and needs tending. The Old English rune poem advises sharing wealth freely, and the Norse poems warn that hoarded wealth breeds strife among kin. Rich Witch carries that same idea. Wealth is meant to circulate, and you’re allowed to receive it.
Who it’s for
Rich Witch is for practitioners doing money spells, prosperity rituals, or Fehu rune work. Use it to cense a wallet, cash drawer, business space or job application before you send it out. Burn it on a prosperity altar alongside a green or gold candle. It’s also forgiving for beginners new to charcoal, since resin-forward blends burn more cleanly than leafy ones. A jar paired with a Rich Witch candle makes a good gift for a new business owner or anyone starting a new job.
