You write one sentence on a slip, one thing you are committing to tend but where you can't be certain of the outcome and you need to be patient and wait for the process to work. You fold it. You dress it with rosemary and thyme, add the bloodstone and the seed, fold the paper vessel closed, tape the seam so it cannot be reopened without tearing, and tie the ribbon. Then you put it somewhere you will not see it; this one goes in a drawer or a cupboard, not out on your altar or windowsill.

About the stone
Bloodstone is an opaque chalcedony, a variety of quartz, hardness 6.5 to 7. Dark green with red flecks and blotches. Its other name is heliotrope, from the Greek for "sun turner"; how it earned that name is not actually known. In the Middle Ages the red inclusions were read as spots of Christ's blood. In smaller pieces the red may not appear at all. Yours will differ from the photograph.
Bloodstone is associated with the element of earth and primarily the Root chakra, although some sources extend it to the sacral and heart. Traditionally a soldier's stone, it can be carried for success in hazardous operations. It grants the mastery of renewal, and helps one recognize the beneficial aspects of turmoil prior to perfection. Its message is be here now. It has also been used to open communication with the ancestors.
Other correspondences
Rosemary is masculine, associated with the Sun and Fire. Used for protection, purification, and mental power, and burned as a standard substitute for frankincense. A chaplet of it carried on the person is said to aid the memory.
Thyme is feminine, Venus, Water. Health, healing, purification, psychic work, and courage. The Greeks burned it to purify their temples.
Rosemary reminds you of why you committed to this thing. Thyme is how you keep going, working and tending without confirmation.
