Self Care Candle Box with Brass Holder

(0 review)

Twenty minutes is all it takes.

Most candle spell instructions tell you to let the candle burn all the way down in one sitting, and then you look at the taper in your hand and do the math and realize that's your entire evening. These are built for daily practice that fits into real life. Light one, do the working, watch it finish. The candle ends when the working ends.

About the wax and the box

Raw beeswax from a family apiary in Hertfordshire, hand-dipped in small batches by third-generation beekeepers who have been running the operation since 2016. Wax taken from cappings comes out lighter; wax from the brood box comes out darker, which is why natural-colored candles may run anywhere from pale gold to deep amber. Color candles use natural dyes over that same base. Hand-dipping means no two candles come out identically thick, and yours will not match the photograph exactly.

Beeswax burns hotter and slower than paraffin, holds its shape without dripping when it stands upright, and gives off a faint honey scent with no added fragrance. You'll see no petroleum feedstock, very little soot from a trimmed wick, and a warm bright flame.

At 6mm across the base, these are noticeably slimmer than the half-inch American chime candle, so they will not fit in a standard chime holder. The brass stand included in the box is sized for them.

The box is unfinished softwood with a laser-engraved lid.

Who this is for

Candle spell work at any level. Daily devotional practice. Meditation with a burn-time timer instead of a phone alarm. Small altars, dorm rooms, desks, and anywhere you can't safely leave a taper going for six hours. Good gift for a new practitioner, and good for anyone who has ever blown out a spell candle early and felt weird about it.

Care and safety

Burn upright and never unattended. Keep away from drafts, vents, and air conditioning. Beeswax melts around 149°F and will burn skin. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
