The Moon Had Teeth
At first glance, it looks like a smile. Then you see the teeth, and the entire jawbone snaps into focus. This is a real piece of bone, uncarved, set on brown cloth inside its own portable shrine.
What you get:
- Pendant: 2" tall including bail
- Chain: 24" silver-tone
- Specimen: one piece of jawbone
- Case: lightweight plated base metal, gabled top with a raised scrollwork border, integrated top loop, clear plastic front/back covers
- Backing: brown cloth, napped on the display face
- One piece only. Arrives ready to wear.
About the case
It's a lightweight version of the Thai-style amulet cases sold across Southeast Asia with the lai thai protective pattern in the border. The front cover is plastic rather than glass, which won't shatter (but do keep it away from scratches).
Working with it
Bone lives in the realm of ancestor work, and provides a connection to animal allies, underworld work, and keeping memento mori in mind.
This piece is a great gift for bone collectors, death workers, and anyone who is looking for some genuinely strange and unusual.
