Septarian is a stone made entirely out of damage.
Here's what happened: a mudball formed on an ancient seabed. It dried, and it cracked — a spiderweb of fractures running all through it. Then, over millions of years, mineral-rich water crept into every one of those cracks and filled them. Calcite. Aragonite. Limestone. The stone did not heal by going back to what it was. It healed by letting something new move into the broken places and become structural.
Some people call it Dragon Stone. We call it the honest one.
You don't get septarian without the cracking. The pattern is the wound, and it's also the thing that makes people want to hold it. There's no version of this stone that stayed intact and turned out prettier.
Sit with that for however long you need to.
Hand-carved and polished, roughly 2" tall, with real weight in the palm. Natural stone — the crack pattern, color, and mineral fill vary completely piece to piece. Yours will be its own creature, cracked its own way.
