The Litha Challenge
When Skaði came to Asgard, she came to settle a debt.
Her father was dead at the hands of the gods. She came armed, demanded her rights, and refused to leave without satisfaction. For weregild, she asked for a husband from among the gods, and laughter to soothe her grief.
The gods made her choose her husband by his feet alone. She chose poorly; she wanted Baldr the Beautiful, and instead got Njörd of the bountiful seas. The marriage didn't last.
And yet we tell this story at Litha as a story of triumph and victory under the midsummer sun.
Because at every step of the way, Skaði embodied the power of her Will. She stated her requirements clearly. She made the best choice she could with the information she had available. She accepted the consequences of her actions and kept her oaths. And when the marriage ended, she continued to walk her own road proudly, into her own mountains with her own bow and arrows.
She is the patron of every witch who has ever acted in confidence, without a guarantee of success.

This class is deliberately timed. Our Litha Rites of Passage ritual on June 20 is when our community faces the challenges we're taking on for this year. If you get certified to call quarters with this class, you can show your skill to world just one week later.

Lord Solinox Silverstar is a 3rd-degree High Priestx in the WISE-ATC tradition, founding clergy of Weavers of the Web, ATC, a teacher at Woolston-Steen Theological Seminary, and the owner of Keys To Manifestation. They teach because they believe that every person carries the capacity to do what they set their will to. The work of this class is putting that capacity into your own hands.
