Our heritage comes with responsibility

Samhain is when we invite the dead to come back to the table. What will we have to share with them about the legacy they left behind?

You are the heir to everything and everyone that came before you. The wealth of our ancestry as human beings is at your fingertips today: the alphabet, controlled fire, medicine, all the wonders that we have discovered and created came from those who have gone before us, and those who have gone before them. Not just the big things, but also the little things, like Grandma's gumbo recipe or the way Dad taught tactical driving.

This Circle is about acknowledging this heritage and the responsibility we have to tend it and pass it on.

Or not; that's part of the responsibility, too.

Two hours, workshop style. It's spooky season, so we'll share some stories of cursed gold and debts of pomegranate seeds. Take home the seeds of your own heritage and a plan for handling your spiritual debts.

The obligation of stewardship

When we receive a gift from one of our family or friends, we know what to do. We say thank you, we make sure to use it or display it. Eventually we give a gift in return, or maybe we pay it forward instead.

What do we do with the gifts we received from the dead?

Our ancestors understood that a life carries a debt, and it's up to the living to settle it. In this class, we'll take a look at what we've received, what we owe in return, and how to build our personal practice of gratitude and abundance.

Most money magick stops at getting the bottom line. We'll look at keeping the flow of abundance moving and growing.

A debt you can pay

Not all debts are monetary. How can you repay the knowledge and love you've received, the breath in your lungs and the memories in your soul?

A seed in your pocket

Fall is the season for tucking those seeds away for next year. 

Real humans study and work here.

Queer, neurodivergent, disabled, chronically ill, and socially awkward people are what passes for "normal" around here. (Psst: "normal" is just a setting on the dryer.) Straight, neurotypical, socially effortless people are welcome too. We assume they can adjust.
