Ever wondered what it's like to Draw Down the Moon?

To speak with the Voice of a Deity?

Or maybe you've felt them at the edges yourself. In ritual. Watching a candle flame. In that one moment when you knew the words coming out of your mouth weren't entirely your own.

Invocation is the ancient art of intentionally drawing a Deity or other spirit into a human body, allowing them to speak and move through us. This is a pastoral skill in our tradition, one we teach with practices and safeguards that keep it sacred and holy. You'll leave this workshop knowing the difference between acting, divine inspiration, and genuinely speaking with the Voice of a Deity — and how to come out yourself again on the other side.

What you'll learn

  • The full spectrum of invocation, from prayer to possession
  • The mechanics of how to draw down the energy of a deity or spirit yourself
  • Discernment: how to be sure you're contacting what you intend
  • Safeguards and best practices that keep the experience holy for everyone
  • How to release cleanly

We'll also get into the stuff nobody else warns you about, like:

  • What to do when a Deity calls you first
  • Accidental invocation, and how to handle it gracefully
  • Coming into alignment with truly foreign energies

Who this is for

Witches who want to hold deity in ritual space, but have never been shown how. Solitaries and coven folk alike. Anyone who's felt that divine energy leaning in and wants to know how to pick up the god-phone.

Brand-new to this path, or just curious? You're welcome. This is a foundational skill in our tradition, taught for all levels. No experience required, just an open mind and a little courage.

they/them

Solinox is the High Priestx of Weavers of the Web, ATC, and the Confident Witch behind Keys To Manifestation. Three-time Iron Ritualist at ConVocation, Michigan Pagans' 2023 Pagan of the Year, and a teacher at Woolston-Steen Theological Seminary, they've spent years invoking deity in public ritual and teaching others to do the same. This is lived practice, taught plainly, with plenty of room for your questions.

Good to know

  • This is participatory. You'll get the chance to try out all the techniques, but you'll never be put on the spot.
  • Bring a notebook. If you work with a particular Deity, you're welcome to bring a small statue or other item that helps connect you to Their energy (optional).
  • Seating is provided. Accessible entrance and restroom in the front.
  • Please arrive a few minutes early to settle in before we begin.

Where this leads

The skills you build in this class are the same ones used in the Lammas Monologues, held every year at Weavers of the Web's Lammas Ritual. Those who complete invocations at Lammas can then hold deity for other rituals with Weavers during the year that follows. Come learn the craft, and find your community.
