Confident Witch Circle: Gebo

Reciprocity in Community

America/Detroit
Add to calendar:

The Gift That Builds the Web

Gebo is the rune of friendship, reciprocity, and right relationship. Not the martyr-gift, not the guilt-gift, not the gift that comes with a debt attached. This is the kind of exchange that creates and sustains the entire community, with support that moves both ways, boundaries to keep things clean, and offerings that don't drain you dry.

We're entering Aquarius season, which asks us how we can serve something larger than ourselves without losing ourselves in the process. Gebo is where we stop doing everything alone and start building the mutual-aid version of our goals, where your plans have allies, your work has purpose and meaning, and giving and receiving are both free and consentual.

This Circle also sits in the Imbolc current; in only two more days we have our Imbolc Spellcraft Lab, and next Saturday is our Weavers of the Web Imbolc Ritual. So we're very much in year-planning mode: naming what we are growing, leaving behind what is not in focus, and looking around us for the relationships and community scaffolding we need to keep going.

Expect a short teaching on reciprocity vs. obligation, energetic consent, and community-aligned goal setting, where your big plans have real supports and not just "good luck" vibes. We'll link with our energetic allies on the Wheel of the Year, including Gaia (the living Web beneath everything), Osiris (regeneration), and the Tarot trump Judgement (discernment!) to look for the call you can't un-hear, the connections that move you to step up and live the life you intend.

For our working, we'll create a Gebo Friendship Knot pendant with rose quartz as a focused crystal reminder to give cleanly, receive cleanly, keep our agreements, and nurture the growing Web. You can continue to work with this charm all season as you refine and charge your goals and strengthen your people skills (boundaries included).

  • Bring: Journal/BoS & pen, water, (optional) small piece of rose quartz
  • Drop-in friendly; no prior experience necessary. Each Circle stands alone.
  • Cost: $49

Step into a small, guided witchcraft circle where you don’t have to hold it all together alone. The Confident Witch Circle in Lansing, Michigan blends training, group problem-solving, and guided ritual so you can grow your personal craft, strengthen your voice, and share your journey with people who get it.

You’re the witch people come to for advice, comfort, and a little bit of magick.

But who holds you while you’re trying to keep your life, your practice, and your sanity together?

The Confident Witch Circle is a small-group mentorship and ritual space with Lord Solinox Silverstar—shopkeeper witch, priestx, and slightly-feral founder of the Confident Witch path. This is where we practice real-world witchcraft together: no perfection and no posturing, just honest magick in a messy world.

Here, we don’t pretend life isn’t chaotic. We learn how to surf the churn instead of being dragged under it.

What the Confident Witch Circle is:

  • A recurring circle meeting in-person in Lansing, MI, with online access via Zoom
  • A mix of teaching, discussion, and live ritual focused on leadership, sovereignty, and practical spellcraft
  • A place to ask questions you’re afraid to ask anywhere else, and actually get answers
  • A steady touchstone so your practice doesn’t vanish the second life gets hard

Each gathering includes:

  • Grounding and energetic check-in
  • A focused teaching theme aligned with the Wheel of the Year
  • Group discussion and Q&A about real-life situations
  • A simple, adaptable working or practice you can repeat at home
  • Practical next steps so change doesn’t stay hypothetical

Who this circle is for

The Confident Witch Circle is designed for:

  • Witches and pagans who feel under-confident in their own practice, even if others see them as “the witch friend”
  • Burned-out practitioners rebuilding after crisis, illness, or community drama
  • Neurodivergent, queer, disabled, and otherwise strange folks who are tired of squeezing into aesthetic-only witch spaces
  • Tender-hearted skeptics who want real results and are willing to test, track, and tweak what they’re doing

You do not need to be a Weavers member, have any particular tradition, or be “advanced.”

You do need to be willing to show up honestly and respect other people’s lived experience.

What you’ll get out of it

Over time, circle members tend to:

  • Build quiet, sturdy confidence in their own decisions and magick
  • Stop outsourcing their sovereignty to “that one book” or “that one teacher”
  • Develop a repeatable personal practice that bends with their life instead of breaking
  • Learn how to design, troubleshoot, and evaluate spells and rituals (not just throw herbs at vibes)
  • Experience what it feels like to be held in community instead of doing witchcraft in isolation

This is not a one-and-done workshop (although you can take them one at a time); it’s an ongoing container for growth.
