Most love spells feel gross (or worse, backfire!) because they're built on a model of control, trying to direct someone else's will instead of your own energy.

Love magick done well is about becoming someone who can give and receive love fully, not about making someone show up who didn't choose to. This lab is for witches who want to work with their own fire, on their own terms, and actually feel good about it afterward.

Beltaine is a sacred fire holiday infamous for ... ahem ... certain goings-on around the fire. But it's not all about fertility and romance; it's the deliberate joining of two opposing forces to create something neither could manage alone.

Over two hours, Lord Solinox Silverstar will walk you through their consent-forward approach to love magick while you build your wand with your own hands.

Here's the thing about love magick that most folks gloss over: you can't reach past your own sphere without consequences. Workings aimed at a specific person aren't just ethically murky, they're also structurally weak because you're trying to override another's free will. What actually works is turning that energy inward first. Clear your own blockages and fan your True Love flames; become someone who can both give and receive love fully, without losing yourself in the process. Then you can lay down a calling for compatible energy and trust that it will find you.

That's the framework we use, and it's also why the wand you're making points at you first. The glamour working, the self-love clearing, and the attraction funnel, all of it starts from the inside out. We'll finish our lab up with an introduction to the symbolic Great Rite of Wicca and a group consecration to charge every wand in the room.

This class is open to practitioners at any level. Whether you've been working with love magick for years or you've always felt weird about it and want to know more, you belong here.

  • It's Beltaine season, folks! This class is intended for adults 18+.
  • Seating is limited to 12 by design; this is a close, personal working group, not a lecture hall.

Taught by Lord Solinox Silverstar (they/them), a 3rd-degree High Priestx in the WISE-ATC tradition and a teacher at the Woolston-Steen Theological Seminary, a three-time ConVocation Iron Ritualist, and Michigan Pagans’ 2023 Pagan of the Year. Solinox is a Norse-leaning Wiccan minister and Lokean who teaches ritual craft, runes, spiritual praxis, and community-centered magick. They serve as founding clergy of Weavers of the Web, ATC, and steward of Keys To Manifestation in Lansing, Michigan. Their passion is accessible, welcoming, and supportive community for all pagans.
